Role Summary
Are you a curious engineer with a strong interest in programming and vehicles? Then you might be the one we are looking for! We are expanding one of our teams; TGROSVM – E-Mobility Diagnostics (Vehicle Service Information).
We are looking for someone who is service-oriented and enjoys combining theory, practice, and problem-solving. As a Method Engineer, you will be responsible for diagnostic and troubleshooting support for TRATON’s products, with a primary focus in one or more areas within electrified vehicles.
Your role involves developing diagnostic and troubleshooting support in close collaboration with system and function owners. As a diagnostic method engineer, you are the voice of the mechanics in development projects, and your deliveries have a direct impact on their daily work, which is crucial for the profitability of both TRATON and our customers.
Our new cloud-based troubleshooting tool, Scania Workshop Suite, presents great opportunities to work with system developers to improve the mechanics’ daily work. You will help take troubleshooting support on this new platform to the next level!
Job Responsibilities
The main job responsibilities for this role is to;
Develop diagnostic and troubleshooting methods/support, implement and test them on rigs and in vehicles.
You are the voice of the mechanics in development project and will contribute with requirements and important input during all of the project phases.
You will also contribute with valuable input to our internal software development teams, based on customer- and project needs.

To succeed in this role, you need to be driven, curious, proactive, and quality-conscious. Since the role involves many interfaces, you should be good at networking and building relationships, be attentive, and understand what is important to the customer. You are structured and good at prioritizing and planning your work. We hire for attitude and train for competence!
Minimum category B driver’s license
Fluent in Swedish and English, both written and spoken
Strong interest in or curiosity about programming
We also believe you have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechatronics, mechanical engineering, or a similar field, or experience working with system development, vehicle systems, or programming. Since we are working with mainly electrified vehicles, it is meriting to have competence within the area of electrical engineering and/or electric vehicles.

Our section consists of 20+ driven and competent method engineers, technical writers and a product coordinator divided in three groups within following diagnostics areas:
E-Mobility / Chassis, Cab and Body / Powertrain. We have a close collaboration within the section and help and learn from each other in our daily work.
