System Engineer

Hitachi Energy offers an exciting opportunity for a Systems Engineer to join our team in Västerås. In this role, you will design, install and maintain advanced system solutions and graphical environments. Our knowledgeable team of systems engineers is at the forefront of managing the design, installation, configuration, maintenance, safety, and operation of both hardware and software in customers' complex systems.

This position gives you the opportunity to use your strong problem-solving and communication skills while also taking on an important role in technical support and development for a system that is constantly evolving.

How will you make a difference?

• You are responsible for technical system solutions for customers, produce documentation and documentation, configure technical communication equipment (e.g. RTU, switches), participate in testing and prepare final documentation.

• You install, update and change SCADA systems

• You provide remote or on-site support for installation and commissioning, maintenance, repairs, design and consulting, advanced services, extensions, upgrades and retrofits, and replacements.

• You build and maintain strong customer relationships. You understand customer needs and provide specialist support and solutions.

Your background

• We see that you have a technical education, for example with a focus on IT or electric power.

• You have a proven ability to identify and solve technical problems for customers.

• To be successful in this role, you need to have a great understanding of what today's electric power systems look like and how different communication and protection systems are connected. We would like you to have worked for a few years with substations, relay protection, RTU or scada applications, meritorious if you have experience of working in projects.

• As a person, you are motivated, collaborative, solution-oriented and have a strong interest in technology.

• A B driver's license is a requirement as well as good knowledge of Swedish and English, both in speech and writing.
