Senior Mainframe Developer

We are looking for a Senior Mainframe Developer to help manage, maintain, and optimize business-critical mainframe solutions within an order and logistics context. You will work close to IT colleagues and stakeholders, supporting legacy applications while contributing to a broader modernization and digitalization journey.

• Manage, maintain, and optimize mainframe systems to ensure stable and efficient operations.
• Provide technical expertise and support for mainframe-based business applications.
• Work with legacy applications and contribute to modernization initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to capture requirements and support solution design across teams.
• Analyze application performance and identify improvements and optimization opportunities.
• Help integrate mainframe systems with other IT infrastructure components.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing by mentoring colleagues and promoting best practices within the chapter/team.
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and security guidelines in development and maintenance.

• Senior experience working with mainframe development and maintenance.
• Proficiency in mainframe languages and tools such as COBOL, JCL, VSAM, ISPF, SDSF, MQ, CICS, PL/I, OPCE, or Assembler (or equivalent).
• Knowledge of mainframe databases and data management systems such as DB2 and/or IMS.
• Experience modernizing legacy mainframe environments using relevant tools and techniques.
• Ability to collaborate with stakeholders and work across teams to support requirements and solution design.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.

• Experience influencing solution design both within and outside stable delivery teams.
• Experience contributing to communities of practice/chapter work through mentoring and knowledge sharing.
