Summer worker - Communications & Engagement Division

About the position

 

We are now looking to appoint a summer worker in the Communications and Engagement division. 

The Communications and Engagement (C&E) division is responsible for managing all of ESS' external and internal communications and engagement activities, supporting the organisation in its mission to become a world-leading neutron science facility. We work with the ESS community and external partners to establish ESS as a trusted scientific and social partner, locally, regionally and internationally.

As a summer worker in the C&E division, your main responsibilities will be to support the team across several internal and external-facing projects, including:

  • Event planning, logistics and reporting, including media visits
  • Identifying and reviewing outdated intranet content 
  • Supporting the preparation of website content and assets
  • Organising content in ESS' new digital asset bank (e.g. assign keyword tags)
  • Production of exhibit and branded materials

About you

 

A suitable background for this position would be:

  • Ongoing or completed education in communication studies, marketing, science communication or related fields
  • Experience of organising or being involved in organising events
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English. Proficiency in Swedish is an advantage.
  • Strong interest in (one or more) science, technology, science communication, design, communications.
  • Minimum age 18 years.

Duration and location

 

This is an 8-12 week summer work position. Planned start date is June 2026, or per agreement.

 

Your workplace is on-site at ESS in Lund, Sweden.
