About the Role

We are now looking for an experienced finance professional to take on the role of Finance Manager (Sweden & Norway) at MacGregor. This is a key role with high visibility across the organization, offering close collaboration with Group Finance and senior stakeholders in an international environment. In this role, you will have an overall responsibility for coordination and oversight of financial governance, statutory reporting and compliance in Sweden and Norway, ensuring alignment with both local regulations and MacGregor’s global financial framework.

You act as a key financial partner to local management and business controllers, with a strong focus on quality, structure and risk management in an international and matrix-based organization.

This role is primarily coordinative and advisory in nature. Operational accounting, bookkeeping and tax execution are handled by Shared Service Centres and external partners. Success in this role is built on the ability to delegate, coordinate and ensure high quality through others rather than hands-on execution.

The position requires close collaboration with Group Finance, shared service functions, local management, and external stakeholders such as auditors and tax advisors.

More tasks and responsibilities

● Ensure compliance with local accounting, tax and legal requirements in Sweden and Norway

● Safeguard adherence to internal financial policies, controls and governance frameworks

● Act as the main contact towards external auditors, tax authorities and advisors

● Manage and maintain strong relationships with external partners

● Act as a finance partner to local management and business controllers

● Provide financial, statutory and legal support to the organization

● Support financial risk management, liquidity and treasury-related matters

The role reports to Director, Group Control, based in Finland. The position is primarily located at MacGregor’s headquarters in Gothenburg with hybrid work possibilities.

What you’ll need to succeed

You are a structured, calm and confident finance professional who thrives in a coordinating role with broad responsibility. You are comfortable navigating complex stakeholder environments and communicating financial matters clearly to both finance and non-finance counterparts. You succeed by creating structure, clarity and trust — not by doing everything yourself.

Qualifications:

● A university degree in finance, accounting or business administration, or equivalent

● 5–7+ years of experience in qualified finance roles

● Solid understanding of statutory accounting and tax, particularly in Sweden (no need to master Norwegian GAAP)

● Conceptual understanding of IFRS

● Experience working with auditors, authorities and external advisors

● Background from international, matrix-based organizations and/or shared service setups

● Strong communication skills in English and Swedish, both written and spoken

Experience from industrial, engineering or project-based environments is considered a merit, as well as experience from SAP and HFM. Consolidation understanding (basic level) is advantageous, but not a requirement.
